In April 2024, Topcorr was awarded the contract for cathodic protection of submarine oil pipelines for the 250,000 tonnes crude oil import berth and ancillary projects at Dongying Port after a long period of follow-up and several rounds of negotiations. Under the contract Topcorr will design and manufacture aluminium alloy bracelet anodes for several 1219mm diameter subsea oil pipelines, with a total anode weight of over 500 tonnes.
This project is the first 1219mm diameter submarine pipeline in China, and Topcorr's participation in the design and supply of this project will greatly enhance its capability and experience in the cathodic protection of large diameter submarine pipelines.
All the documents such as CP design, anode drawings, ITP, MPS, PQT and PPT reports has been approved by project owner, EPC contractor and also been verified by China Classification Society, the first batch of anodes will be supplied in May, 2024.
